The flowers that are friends with the bride's budget are silk. Many brides choose this option not only for this reason, but for a variety of reasons. They always look perfect, are the right color, and can be purchased and arranged ahead of time!
Sugar paste, or gum paste flowers can be as stunning as real flowers. They also look perfect since there are not bruised petals. They are long lasting and can be used in hosehold decorating after the wedding (just like silk flowers can). However, since these are hand made and are time consuming, they can be costly.
Fresh flowers are absolutely beautiful on any cake. But as we all know, beauty comes with a price. If you decide to go with fresh flowers, it would be wise to work closely between your florist and cake decorator. Ideally, you should arrange for a meeting with both your florist and your cake designer.
Hope this helps!
Have a blessed day!
